Information collected

Florida LEO Field Guide collects the information you choose to submit through the Feedback form, such as your name, email address, feedback type, and message.

How feedback is used

Feedback is used to review reported issues, improve the guide, and respond when appropriate. Feedback emails are delivered through Resend to floridaleo@pm.me. Feedback is not sold.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, including pages visited, device type, referrer, and approximate location such as country, state or region, and city. Location is derived from an IP address and is not precise GPS location.

Analytics events do not include feedback content, names, email addresses, search text, case information, or exact location.

My Location

Nearby Places searches open Google Maps only when you tap a place-type button, sharing the last captured coordinates and selected search category with Google. No automatic nearby-place searches are performed, and these searches are not sent to our servers or analytics.

My Location requests your device location only when you select Locate Me or Refresh Location and grant permission. Precise coordinates are used only for an instant lookup and displayed temporarily in your browser. Florida LEO Field Guide does not collect, transmit to its servers, or store those coordinates in its database, cookies, location history, or analytics. There is no background tracking. Clear removes the displayed location; leaving or reloading the page clears it.

After a successful location request, your browser shares the coordinates and IP address directly with OpenStreetMap to display the map and, when street lookup is enabled, GeoNames to find nearby addresses and intersections. Selecting Apple Maps or Google Maps shares coordinates with that service. Those providers may process or retain information under their own privacy policies; our no-storage statement applies to Florida LEO Field Guide, not third-party services. Copy Coordinates places coordinates on your device clipboard until you replace or clear them. Share Location sends the displayed coordinates, approximate address, mapped cross streets, and map link to the app or recipient you choose. Where device sharing is unsupported, it copies those details to your clipboard instead. Sharing occurs only when you select Share Location.

Field sobriety exercise results

Exercise checkbox selections, medical-screening responses, and the raised-leg selection are kept in your browser session, not uploaded to Florida LEO Field Guide or included in analytics. Selecting Save PDF generates a summary of the HGN, Walk-and-Turn, and One-Leg Stand selections on your device. Share PDF / Email passes that PDF to an app you choose only when you invoke sharing. Copy results places the summary on your device clipboard. Downloaded files, clipboard content, and copies shared through other apps can remain after the browser session ends and are subject to your device, email provider, and agency policies.
